I think I totally agree with Chris about the chicken caesar (if he is talking about the salad)! The dressing is the perfect blend of salty and sweet. When ordering out, I always ask for an extra dressing and chicken on the side. It's not really an "atmosphere" kind of place- think of inside a subway with cafeteria style tables-- that's what it's like. I recommend ordering out and eating at home. I'd stay away from the cole slaw and potato salad, and I really don't find it necessary (nice way of saying, "stay away") to get the baklava.

I went to YaYa's once years ago at another location. I pass this one a lot & never went in, so I thought I'd try it. Now I remember why I didn't go back. First, as someone else mentioned, the place is huge and empty -- before 7:00pm. That should say something right there. I ordered the 4 pieces of just chicken. And it was, indeed, just chicken. Most places give you at least a piece of bread or roll or something. And the pieces were small. Maybe it's because I'm used to getting a whole, huge rotisserie chicken at Costco, or more normal size ones at other stores, but this almost looked cornish hen sized. I ate 3 of the 4 pieces, which is unusual for me. It had some kind of odd seasoning that I couldn't identify. I didn't really care for it, but as I was hungry after a long day at work, I ate it anyway. I guess I should stick to Costco or other markets' chickens if I don't want to make my own.

Is this place a front? I hve no idea how this place stays open. For like 10 years Ive never seen this place busy or with many customers as I drive by. The chicken is actually pretty good but the price and limited menu make this a can miss spot. Plus, who doesnt get skeptical whn the only pics are the ones posted by the business. The fact it is grilled makes it healthier.

Ya Ya's for me has never been about the ambiance of the dinning area. The reason I frequent this place is because it's a healthier choice to eat at. Their Greek style chicken is marinaded in rosemary with a slight hint of garlic that's grilled over an open flame. Yummy! All their menu side items are real, natural and taste amazing. Today I tried their new wraps and my favorite so far is the chicken caesar wrap. It was filling, delicious and didn't make you feel tired after eating it. Not only that it doesn't add inches to your waist line. If your a body builder, diabetic or need a go lean diet this place will help you achieve your goals, Just stay away from their honey butter and pita bread which is so good but it can be fating.

I finally decided to check this place out after riding passed it numerous times. Now im regretting I did. First walked in, place was completely FILTHY. I mean it was disgusting. I usually turn back around when I notice a restarant is dirty but I went on in anyway. Ordered the chicken breast sandwich combo with a garden salad and a drink. Which was pretty good While I was eating I couldnt stop thinking about how filthy the place was. Although the food was good, I do not plan on returning because of the filth. But.. If you like tasty food coming from a disgusting restaurant, then this is the place for you.

Yaya's has great food- but the service at this location is awful! The workers have zero personality and do not know the meaning of customer service! I will never go back to this specific Yaya's and I suggest you don't either!

I love being able to see an open fire and meat on a grill. It was pricier than I hoped and the chicken ended up drier than I liked. I have no real complaints, though. The view of the church next door is pretty awesome, though.

This place is awesome for chicken lovers. Great prices and food. Get the chicken ceasar, it looks overpriced, but it's so good you'll be back again ordering it. Some of the sides leave a bit to be desired, but the chicken, beans, and pita bread with honey butter can always make this fat guy smile.

Yaya's has been my favorite chicken chain for as long as I can remember. There's just no forgetting the taste of their delicious chicken, amazing salad dressing, and a warm pita smothered with honey butter!

My four friends and I thought we would try Yaya's Chicken for lunch. Our first clue was it was 12:30pm and there was 1 person in this large restaurant, second is they had these beautiful grills and there was not one chicken cooking on them. We all ordered chicken wraps. The chicken was chopped in tiny pieces that were so dry you could barely swallow it. I don't think it was even made in this establishment. The dressing was in a plastic package and tasted, well like artificial packaged dressing. We will NEVER go to this pathetic restaurant again.

Sometimes you just want something that is comforting such as flame broiled chicken, side entry such as salad and mashed potato. I ordered 3 piece chicken 2 side entry and soda for $10. And oh man everything just perfect!!! As I sunken my teeth on those tender juicy chicken thigh, it taste and feels like music to my taste buds. What an awesome dinner! The flatbread was out of this world. The portion was enough for a hungry bear...(its an average bear). The price i paid, the portion, most importantly, the deliciousness, I just can't wait to get back hunger for more.

Chicken was decent but the sides were not the best. I do not recommend the veggies, mash, or Mac and chz. My mom had the baked beans and they were good. Boston Market is s much better choice if you're looking for a good chicken dinner.

I've enjoyed going to Yaya's for the past 20 years, ever since I first found them in Waterford. That location is now closed, but I've been coming to the Royal Oak restaurant for about 15 years. So much so, that the manager recognizes me and often remembers my usual order (I've settled on the 2 piece dark meat, with baked beans, salad, and pita bread, all of which I highly recommend). The store is always clean and well lit, except, perhaps, for some crumbs left by recent diners. I've never been here when it was crowded, which is good because I don't like lines. However, I realize that this is not good for the restaurant, and may be the reason that prices keep creeping upward (my only complaint). But I still show up -- perhaps less frequently. Staff always seems to be efficient, reasonable, and courteous.

Meh, I've experienced better for sure. The flame broiled chicken is tasty and healthy as it's really flame broiled (not fried), but the price is much higher than you'd expect for a chicken place. The quality of the food and the sides are good, but nothing out of the ordinary... the place needs a makeover and maybe some new marketing as well. Even though it's fried, the value and similar quality food at Chicken Shack is worth the extra calories. If the tiny Chicken Shack on Woodward moved to this place, with seating and everything YaYa's offers on the grill... it'd be a home run.
